Art, Music & Drama
Creativity comes to life through our vibrant arts programs. From painting and performing to singing and storytelling, students of all ages express themselves, build confidence, and find joy in the creative process—both as individuals and collaborators.

Art
At Pine Street School, visual arts are a key part of the curriculum, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and visual literacy. Students explore diverse mediums—like drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and digital art—through hands-on, inquiry-based learning. They develop artistic skills, analyze visual works, and express personal ideas while examining cultural, historical, and ethical aspects of art. The course nurtures creativity, aesthetic appreciation, and a critical understanding of visual culture, empowering students to engage meaningfully with the world of art.

Music
Construct their own knowledge and understanding through inquiry based learning. Our middle school music curriculum provides an environment that stimulates and challenges students. Students have the opportunity to explore instruments and to participate in ensemble work. The use of technology influences and enhances student learning giving them the opportunity to create, compose and record their work.

Drama
At Pine Street, drama is studied as both a discipline and an art form, exploring its historical roots and role in creative expression. Students gain academic insight into theatre while building practical skills through hands-on exercises and peer collaboration. Emphasis is placed on performance instincts, physical control, audience interaction, and the broader application of these skills beyond the stage. The course also fosters comfort in performance spaces, teamwork, and adaptability.
