Students have many opportunities to lead at Pine Street School, building the confidence, communication skills, and sense of responsibility that serve them well in school and beyond.

Leadership begins early and grows with students. In Preschool, children may serve as Host of the Day and take part in Celebrations of Learning. As they grow, students lead conferences and, in Grade 5, the PYP Exhibition. In Middle School, leadership expands through Student Government and cross-grade mentorship, giving students greater responsibility for shaping school life and supporting younger students.

In Middle School, Student Government gives students a formal role in shaping school life. Representatives gather feedback, develop proposals, and pitch ideas to school leadership. Through initiatives such as Spirit Week and Kits for Kindness, students involve every grade, coordinate with the PTA and parent volunteers, communicate with families, and organize the people and resources needed to bring their ideas to life.
