Leslie Vaculin

Leslie holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Guatemala and has completed her Montessori certification and International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme training. With over two decades of global teaching experience, she has taught at the preschool and elementary levels, as well as middle and high school Spanish in the Czech Republic. Leslie has spent more than a decade of her career inspiring students at Pine Street School. Raised in Guatemala City by educator parents, her mother a teacher and her father a school principal, Leslie was surrounded by learning from an early age, cultivating a lifelong passion for education. She believes that language acquisition is a gateway to global citizenship, a philosophy she brings to life daily at Pine Street School. Outside of school, Leslie loves exploring New York City to fuel her creativity, traveling to experience new cultures and cuisines, reading, and camping or playing volleyball with her friends and family. She is also the proud mother of a Pine Street alumna who is currently pursuing her college education.
