With more than a decade of experience in early childhood education, Pooja Jha brings a rich, globally-informed approach to the classroom. Her career has taken her across India, Singapore, and London, giving her firsthand experience in play-based, Reggio Emilia, and Montessori settings, a range of training that shapes how she meets each child exactly where they are. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and is a UK-certified Montessori educator, with additional training in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. This blend of academic and pedagogical training lets her draw on multiple proven teaching philosophies rather than a single approach. Pooja's journey at Pine Street School began seven years ago as a substitute teacher, and she is now in her fifth year as a full-time member of the preschool team. What she's most passionate about is sparking curiosity, turning everyday lessons into moments children genuinely look forward to. She cares just as much about the whole child, pairing academic growth with social and emotional development, and about building real, positive relationships with parents along the way. Outside the classroom, Pooja enjoys seeking out restaurants with a story to tell, spending quiet afternoons at the library, and practicing guided meditation.
