Yue holds an M.A. in International Educational Development and Bilingual & Bicultural Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.S. in Childhood & Early Adolescent Education from Penn State University. She is also Montessori-trained and certified. Yue joined Pine Street School in 2018 and has been passionate about creating meaningful and engaging language-learning experiences for elementary students ever since. As a passionate language learner herself, Yue believes that language learning is a continuous process of making mistakes, taking risks, and learning from them. Through consistent practice and the willingness to try, we gradually grow more confident and capable. She brings this mindset into her daily teaching, encouraging her students to embrace mistakes as a natural and essential part of their language-learning journey. She especially enjoys celebrating each small breakthrough and moment of growth along the way. Outside of teaching, Yue loves picking up new hobbies and exploring new interests. Her current favorites are birdwatching and pottery.
